NARI ACE Award 2012 – Awarded to Scott Hall Remodeling for Consumer Excellence

COLUMBUS (November 8,2012) – Scott Hall Remodeling has been recognized as a recipient of the 2012 NARI ACE Award.  The Ace Award is presented by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) of Central Ohio.  The ACE (Achievement in Consumer Excellence) Award, a consumer rated awards program honors NARI members that provide exemplary products and/or service.  The award recognizes professionals in the remodeling industry and vendors that receive a high overall rating on four criteria as judged by consumers who have actually used their products and/or services.

“The NARI ACE Award provides consumers a valuable tool to help them begin and complete successful remodeling projects, and that tool is the knowledge that they are selecting a professional remodeling contractor or product supplier that they can count on to do the quality work they desire. This consumer rated program provides additional assurance that consumers can count on quality, professional services.  The program also provides a no cost mechanism for consumers to provide feedback on work performed for them by NARI members.  Our goal is to expand our membership base to encompass all industry partners that share our professional values and code of ethics,” states Shari Bates, CAE, Executive Director of NARI of Central Ohio.

Angie’s List Best Contractor of 2012 Columbus Ohio Finalist – Scott Hall Remodeling

We are very pleased and excited to be chosen by Angie’s List as a finalist for the Best Contractor of the Year. This is the most prestigious award that Angie’s List gives out and will be awarding the winner (s) in December or January. Less than 1% Companies in the Columbus Area were chosen as a finalist for this award.

We were called this week to be interviewed by Angie’s List regarding what we believe contributes to being able to provide such a high level of customer satisfaction on such a consistent basis. Several of our customers that we have provided bathroom remodeling for this year called us this week with their support and let us know that they were called by Adam Wire of Angie’s List to be interviewed.  We are very grateful to each of you who were called and took the time to participate in the interview.

While the final winner(s) have not yet been actually selected, we sincerely appreciate our being selected as a finalist.

Great Bathroom Ideas – Making great use of spaces for storage

In an attempt to have a place to gather and share Bathroom Ideas, I am trying on a regular basis to share photos highlighting different ideas and designs in the bathroom. I found this photo online recently that I loved.  This is a wonderful example of making use of recessed areas where it is possible, especially in smaller bathrooms.  We have built custom solutions like this quite a few times.  I also loved the colors in this photo, feels very bright and calming at the same time.

Warm Spaces by Design – Our Partnered Bathroom Design Specialist

Scott Hall Remodeling would like to offer a special thanks to Ali Souder, owner of Warm Spaces by Design, for her partnership with us in assisting our clients with their bathroom remodeling design choices. Ali has worked with us on numerous projects this summer.  The feedback we have received has been outstanding.  Ali can assist with something as simple as choosing the paint color for the bathroom or as extensive as picking out all the finishes and styles throughout the entire space.

The benefit of working with a Color & Design Consultant is that it helps you eliminate all doubts and any questions you may have in personalizing your home.  You may have the idea of what you want but are unable to put what you see in your mind to action. 


My consultations and designs are for the purpose of beyond what “looks pretty”.  On top of creating the space you desire, I understand the applied science of how colors affect emotions and daily well-being.  Colors should be used in certain combinations to achieve a desired state.  Additionally, the tone of a color will make all the difference to the end result.

To achieve “the pretty”, I will work with you using certain methods to create the perfect warm, cozy feeling that your home is, or should be.  This is the whole idea of “Warm Spaces.”  I want you be able to take a deep breath after a long day once you enter your house.  If you are there all day working from home (and yes that 100% includes stay-at-home parents), you should enjoy the space you surround yourself with on a daily basis.  It should be a place you want to be.

The impact of color never ceases to amaze me.  It is such a powerful tool in transforming a space and conveys an amazing energy that sets the tone each day.  Color can come through on the walls, furniture, pillows, candles, throws, rugs, and on and on.  Whether you need one or all objects to make a room come together, when it is finally complete you will be able to walk in the door and say, “Ahh, I’m home.”


Powell Ohio Custom Shower Remodeling Project

We recently completed a Custom Bathroom Remodeling Project in Powell, Ohio…just north of Columbus.  The work completed in the shower area took a very builder-grade shower and Glass surround into a Modern, European-looking Master Bathroom Shower.  We also raised the glass height up considerably and made it all Completely and Totally Frameless.  We also added a ShowerGuard invisible coating on the inside of the glass which is a baked-in finish at the manufacturer.

Small Master Bathroom Remodel- Columbus Ohio

Below is a recent project we just completed on the North side of Columbus, Ohio.  The original bathroom was run down, dated, with a very poor (sunken bathtub) in the floor.  The design goals were to bring a modern feel with a complete remodel.
